What kind of yogurt do I use?

The nice thing about this frozen yogurt bark recipe is that you can use any kind of yogurt you want.

I personally love either a vanilla flavored yogurt or I go for a heavy Greek yogurt and flavor it with honey. Your decision will really come down to what flavor you want. If you want the bark to taste more like strawberries, blueberries or a different fruit entirely, you will want your base to be that flavor as the toppings will not be overwhelming, but a compliment to the dish.

*If you are following a low carb or keto diet, you will want to use either Two Good Greek Yogurt or a plain Greek yogurt. Make sure to keep in mind your toppings and that you are using an approved sweetener if you opt to use one. Or you can try our keto avocado toast!

Should I sweeten the frozen yogurt bark?

Absolutely! Especially if you are using a plain Greek yogurt as the base to your bark. You do not want it to taste sour, and it will if you do not sweeten it.

When you are mixing your yogurt and sweetener before laying it out on the pan, taste it to see if it is sweet enough for you. It will taste exactly the same frozen as it does before you freeze it. You can adjust the sweetness level to your liking.

If it comes out too sweet, just add a little yogurt to dilute it.

What Toppings Can I Add To My Frozen Yogurt Bark?

I like to use berries and nuts to balance the sweet and salty but you can use whatever you want.

For this recipe I use strawberries, blueberries and crushed mixed nuts.

However, I have made this recipe with peaches, pineapple, nutella and banana, granola, cereals, and so on. Whatever you want to add is up to you. If you are unsure on how to make frozen yogurt bark, once you lay out the yogurt after mixing it, you can create different sections with different toppings so that you can try them all when it is frozen.
